NHS Scotland cancer waiting times
Published by Public Health Scotland · Official source
Update schedule
- Quarterly.
Level of detail
- NHS health board (of treatment)
What we show
- The 62-day standard: share of patients starting first treatment within 62 days of an urgent suspicion-of-cancer referral (standard 95%)
- The 31-day standard: share starting treatment within 31 days of the decision to treat (standard 95%)
- All cancer types combined, aggregated by NHS board of treatment
Caveats
- Scotland's NHS is run separately from England and uses the same 62/31-day standards but measures them independently — these figures are NOT directly comparable to the England cancer waiting times, and are never ranked together.
- Reported quarterly by board of treatment (summed across the patient's board of residence).
- Small numbers of patients are apportioned, so counts can vary; the most recent quarter is provisional.
